The 911 GT3 RS, a Porsche of the most popular, coveted and successful
production of cars inspired track, was given an injection of technology
thrilling final thoroughbred racing resulting in a Porsche 911 GT3 RS
4.0. Limited to 600 vehicles around the world, the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 sports
car meets in one of the attributes that made the Porsche 911 GT3 a
consistent winner on the racetrack.
The motor motorsport derived 4.0-liter, already the largest
engine displacement of 911 ever, also has the highest output per liter –
125 horsepower (hp) per liter – from a naturally aspirated engine of
the Porsche flat-six. The engine uses forged pistons, connecting rods
are made of titanium, and the crankshaft was lifted unchanged from the
race car 911 GT3 RSR. It reaches its maximum power of 500 hp at 8,250
rpm. The maximum torque of 339 ft / lbs (460 Nm) is reached at 5,750
rpm.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 offers truly impressive performance, lapping the famed Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes and 27 seconds. Available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 0-60 mph sprints in just 3.8 seconds (0-100 km / h in 3.9 s), and its gear designed to the race circuit that reaches 124 mph (200 km / h) mark at the speedway in less than 12 seconds.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 ‘s excellent driving dynamics of numerous
details have been carefully coordinated. Apart from the suspension using
typically found in motor racing, the weight reduction is also of
paramount importance. Equipped standard with lightweight components like
light but strong carbon fiber sport seats, fenders and carbon fiber
front luggage compartment cover, and weight-optimized carpets, two
seats, is ready for weight-action is only 2998 pounds (1360 kilograms)
with a full fuel tank. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 ‘s power to weight
ratio is 5.99 pounds / hp (368 hp / ton).
This limited edition 911 is painted white Carrara as standard and
highlights its proximity to the motor for its dynamic aspect. Signature
features are the band width, the position of a vehicle down the big rear
wing with side plates, dual exhaust, central, and aerodynamically
optimized body. The air deflection vanes mounted on each side of the
front fender – called “strips” or dive plans – make their first
appearance in a production Porsche. They create greater downforce on the
front axle and, together with the rear wing too inclined to provide
aerodynamic par with its performance capabilities. As a result, the 193
mph (311 kph) top track speed, aerodynamic forces exert an additional
426 pounds (190 kg) of downforce, thus pushing the Porsche 911 GT3 RS
4.0 on the road.
With a suggested retail price from $ 185,000 (excluding
destination), the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 will be available in the
United States in late 2011.
